Eid is more than a religious festival; it is a powerful social occasion that bridges distances and reunites hearts. In the midst of our busy, fast-paced lives, it offers a rare opportunity to reconnect with friends we once saw every day but now meet only on special occasions. This year’s Eid brought such a meaningful reunion as we gathered with our childhood friends at our beloved alma mater—Chardurlabh Khan Abdul Hai Sarkar High School (currently known as Chardulav Kha A. H. Sarkar School & College).

Up to the eighth grade, this institution was not just a place of learning but a foundation of our shared memories, values, and friendships. Standing once again on its familiar field after the Eid prayer, we were instantly transported back to those carefree days of school life—days filled with laughter, mischief, and an unbreakable sense of togetherness. What once was daily companionship has now become an annual reunion, making these moments even more precious.

Following our heartfelt gathering, we embarked on a spontaneous journey through the countryside. Passing through Barishab, Beltoli Bazar, Giaspur, Narottampur, Gaora, and Meora, we eventually reached the serene and expansive Gazari forest. Surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil silence, the experience felt almost poetic. A quiet road stretching through the dense forest, the cool breeze, and the shared laughter created an atmosphere of pure joy and nostalgia. Although the sky remained overcast, the rain held back—as if nature itself wished to preserve the beauty of our reunion.

What made this gathering even more inspiring was witnessing how each friend has grown and established themselves in different professional fields. Kamrul Hasan Saurav, a graduate of Daffodil International University, is currently serving as a Key Account Manager in the Oncology Division at Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC, contributing to the advancement of cancer-related healthcare solutions. Mahidul Hasan Khan Ontu, after completing his studies at the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), is now working as a Software Engineer at Brain Station, actively contributing to the tech industry. Rajib, having completed his Honors and Master’s in Physics from the University of Rajshahi, is currently preparing for the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), aiming to serve the nation.

As for myself, Towfiq Sultan, after completing my education at Dhaka Medical Institute, I am currently serving as a lecturer at B.J.S.M Model College. Alongside my academic role, I regularly contribute opinion pieces, letters, columns, and feature articles to national daily newspapers. Recently, my book “World of Knowledge – Jnaner Jagat” has been published, with the vision of inspiring the younger generation to pursue knowledge, develop critical thinking, and transform learning into practical success.

Among our friends, Romel Mahmud Roman, a Mathematics graduate from Titumir College, is now the Founder and Treasurer of Kapasia Model School & College, playing a vital role in shaping future generations. Zahirul Islam Sumon, also from Titumir College with a background in Physics, has completed his Honors and Master’s and is currently preparing for the BCS examination. Didarul Islam is actively engaged in business, while Mofazzal, a Zoology graduate from Gazipur National College, is currently working at BURO Bangladesh, contributing to development initiatives.

As the day progressed, more friends such as Sohag and Zahidul joined us, making the reunion even more vibrant and complete. The gathering turned into a beautiful blend of memories, laughter, and meaningful conversations—reminding us that while time may change our paths, it never diminishes true friendship.

As we finally parted ways and returned to our respective lives, one truth became clear: genuine friendship stands the test of time. Eid, in its essence, is not only about celebration but also about connection, reflection, and gratitude. This reunion was not just a meeting—it was a heartfelt reminder of where we came from and the enduring bonds that continue to shape who we are today.

May this spirit of friendship remain unbroken, and may such reunions continue to bring joy, inspiration, and unity into our lives for years to come.
